Heavy Metal Fabrication Environment: Our company is a Manufacturer of Specialty Heavy Duty Forks deigning and building custom units.  Typical materials include:  ½” to 4” steel.  

General Outline of Responsibilities:  We are seeking a detail orientated person to perform and handle the following responsibilities:

General Physical Abilities:

Brief Job Description: We are seeking a person with top quality welding abilities for wire welding of ½” to 4” steel with multi-pass welds required of ¾” and greater.  Welds are structural and must have full penetration and strength and are required to hold 70,000 pound yield up to 135,000 pound yield.  The applicant must be able to read and understand blue prints, have good math skills, be able to convert decimal measurement to fractions, be able to identify various raw steel materials, interpret blue prints and assemble parts.  Ability to do own set-up per print.  Verify measurements are to specifications on print.

General Requirements:  Work is Monday through Friday 7:00 am to 5:00 pm, usually 40 hours per week, but overtime is necessary occasionally.

  • Sand blast and paint
  • Read, study, understand and follow procedures established by management. Do not deviate from such procedures unless instructed in writing & such is documented in the particular job blue prints signed & dated.
  • Read blue prints, double-check all measurements during fabrication
  • Review, initial & date each part of the blue print, be sure to verify and match each individual’s parts before beginning fork process.
  • Fit & tack parts together to form assembly & verify all dimensions prior to applying final full welds
  • Rotate/sequence/alternate welds evenly on each side of the part to prevent heat warping. Verify measurements on manufactured part are to specification required on the print and complete proof measurement sheet and sign off on proof sheet
  • Clean your work area (daily after each job)

Duties and Responsibilities For Machinist Position
  • Program VMC centers, set-up, run and maintain
  • Set up and utilize Master Cam software to convert AutoCad & Solid
  • Works drawings to machining center code
  • Set up and run manual lathes, boring machine, saws, and other general metal fabrication work.   

Equipment to run: Vertical Machining Centers: Toshiba VMC.  Toshiba Boring Machine, Lathe, Drill Press, Cut-off Saws, 200 Ton Press, or other metal fabrication equipment.

Work Day: Typical work day may include 30% VMC, 30% Boring Machine, 30% Operating manual lathe, drill press, mill, 10% General Shop Work (including break press, saw, or other equipment operation)

CNC Programing Required: G-Code writing, editing and set up. Knowledge of Master-Cam software.

Seeking experienced salesperson with proven results record.  Primary responsibility will be cold calling over the road to prospects throughout the USA.

Position: Applications Engineer

Classification: Salaried/Exempt 

Position Scope: Under the direction of and reporting to the President, the Applications Engineer is responsible for serving as the company resource for attaining profitable sales revenue. This individual will be effective in developing customer relationships and obtaining the necessary technical knowledge to provide effective solutions to customers who have a need for custom, reliable and rugged material handling applications. This position is also responsible for the development of new market segments i.e. quarry and construction markets. This position will also help the company expand its geographic presence in new markets. Attain the objectives for the profitability and sales revenues in support of SAS’s annual business plan. Create in conjunction with the SAS sales team and management team the desired brand image of the company. 

Duties and Responsibilities For Salesperson
Develop sales strategies and effective sales practices that result in a consistent increase in profitable fork sales and other material handling related products:
  • Contribute to marketing efforts that expand SAS’s desired brand and market position
  • Develop and identify the dealer network when the specific market channel requires it in new and existing market channels. It’s critical for this individual to be a knowledgeable in the trade practices of selecting, managing and motivating dealers. This includes having and acquiring the knowledge of their business practices and how SAS can contribute to their growth  
  • Work to build profitable relationships with new customers as well as existing customers
  • Always be “on the lookout” for new business and identify profitable opportunities in line with SAS’s annual budget and long term strategic plan
  • Assist in the development of a market information system that nurtures, organizes and disseminates critical knowledge regarding material handling trends, market trends, technical influences and competitive threats
  • Contribute to the development of a sales forecasts and market segment objectives by product segment
  • Help to develop and implement the SAS marketing communications strategy and related tools

REQUIREMENTS:
